now since the latest update minecraft now supports aimated files.... that mean you can change the diamond axe in to an actual moving chainsaw... now heres the problem... many people dont know how to make animated files... thats why im here to help them... if you got a texturepack you want an animated file i can either help you or you can read this hole blog
now to make for an example a chainsaw you need two textures to begin with...
the only thing we want changing on these are the chainsaw blade...
now when got those two textures that both should be 16x16 pixels you wanna add em together horisontley so the make a 16x32 png. now when thats done you wanna ad it to texture pack the same place you would ad a normal texture to... when thats done your going to make a txt. doc. now depending on how many time the frame of the item changes your going to add these 1*(insert the time for this specifik texture to be there)
but for the chainsaw the txt doc should say :
1*3
2*3
the txt. doc needs to have the same name as the png. doc.
the txt. goes the same place as the png. did
