Texture pack image?

I dont really kow how to explain this, but. I was "exploring" the minecraft folder and I managed to find this image. It updates every time I switch resource packs, and loads their textures. This image appears to have all the textures of all the blocks (minus animated blocks ex: fire, portal) and items (except compas and clock). I don't really know what to make of this image but I thought I'd show you all anyways. These textures come from my resource pack bit.ly/1sMxrad

This is normal, its used for every texture pack. Basically think of it as a base for the textures.

i think mojang made the individual textures get put into that when minecraft runs, like maybe it still gets textures from it.
