we can all agree that games consoles have developed over the ages the first games console 'The Magnavox Odyssey' was create by Ralph Baers in 1972 .Baer came up with the design for cartridges because there was no CPU on the magnavox and it just had different switches and buttons that could turn off and on certain components of the console.However the odyssey was only moderately successful and it was only when Atari's Pong was released that video games and consoles really became popular.In the autumn of 1975 magnavox realised that they couldn't keep up with the popularity of pong and decided to stop producing the magnavox and made the magnavox100 and at the same time that the magnavox100 was released they decided to release the magnavox200 which was a higher class version of the magnavox100 the 200 added on-screen scoring, up to four players, and a third game which was named Smash.As consoles developed over time new features were added and so from the birth of the magnavox odyssey  came new generations of companies and game consoles we can now have wireless controllers and mouses and automatically saving games.So I ask you today what is the future of video games?  what will happen next will there be holographic controllers or will games become more immersive like the oculus rift? please comment on this blog and I would like to see what you guys think please do not start a flame war because this topic really interests me and I would like to know your opinions on the matter too!
