The Minecraft Castle

Everyone these days have been saying that they were SO good at building castles, just because their castles are massive. And almost all of those buildings are made out of one thing, mostly cobblestone. No. In fact, it makes it look even WORSE. No to sound cocky, but if you want to see a good building, follow this guide. You will see improvements.

Step 1:
Build with different blocks. This will express creativity, moderation, and presentation. It will also effect the ease of building a castle in survival mode. You don't want to have 1 kind of block cramming up your inventory JUST for a castle.

Step 2:
Make the walls thicker. If you are on a PvP server that does no have the faction plugin, then you have to worry about protection even more. This may give you a heart attack: Make your walls at LEAST 20 meters thick and 100 meters tall. Though, a griefing rule, in theory, could defeat the whole purpose of step 2.

Step 3:
To decorate, use moss and vines. This will make the castle look better, but if you are in a hardcore PvP server, moss and vines and decoration is not worth it.

Step 4:
Do not hack or use world edit. This is by far the most simple step.

Step 5:
Make a 10 x 20 x 3 cobblestone foundation. Go 1 block in on each side, and build up 5 stone bricks,
9 x 19 x 5. Then build 100 stone back up, 8 x 18 x 100.
