Hello people, it has been some time since I, Soccool has released a blog. These few days I was busy skinning and creating an awesome project.
As the title suggests, I'm here to talk about why do you delete your submissions. I have already deleted about 10 submissions. Why, because they are just trash to me and the community.
You might be asking: "Why take down your submissions when you earned about experience points from them?" and "Just don't remove them and you can keep the experience points!". Why? The idea is simple.
Although you may have earn some experience points from it, what's the point of it actually? The only reason PMC created the experience and level system is to encourage people to see good things created by people with high levels. If you have a high level, it shows that you have given lots of great stuff to the community.
For example, a person that has more than level 40 usually has lots of great submissions, like Greytopher. A person that is only level 10 only has a few submissions and they are not exactly really that good.
A person that is level 30 but has more than 100 submissions will probably have an entire gallery of crap, and then people will be wondering: "Why did this person have such a high level although he only submits crap?"
Remember, the only reason you are actually submitting a submission is just to make the community better. The community is changed by you all, not the admins.
Not just that, deleting your crappy submission will give somebody else's submission more space for the people to look at it and tell the person how to improve. There are more than 800,000 submissions and if all the crappy submissions were deleted there will be only about 500,000 submissions. That will make a big difference.
Make a difference by deleting your bad submissions.
