Hello, Soccool here again to bring you another awesome blog. Today I am going to talk about an issue that has been happening for a long time in the blog section - irrelevant blogs.
Just a quick reminder, the PMC is actually a minecraft community fan site. The site was actually made for minecraft so that people can submit their minecraft stuff more easier and can talk more about minecraft.
When the PMC was at an advanced stage the blogs section was created and it flourished. Lots of people now use the blog section to express their feeling about minecraft, making up articles, tutorials, rants, suggestions and other stuff on the PMC blogs they made.
This was when the blog section started to get too far. Instead of talking about something about minecraft or the PMC, they started to talk about stuff that are irrelevant to minecraft, but stuff like eating a sandwich and other totally irrelvant stuff. Instead of a way to talk about minecraft, it has become a tool to just express whatever you like.
There are now more than 40,000 blogs on PMC, and I can tell you that about 10-20%, or even more blogs are totally irrelevant to minecraft or the PMC. We do like some of them as they have funny stuff, but is this actually improving the blogs section in PMC? No, it isn't.
I do not mean to totally block thoughtful blogs and other blogs that are irrelevant, but I believe that site moderators should take down most irrelevant blogs that actually doesn't improve the community, but make it worse by making it more crowded and more useless.
Another way to stop irrelevant blogs is to stop posting them. You yourself maybe posting an irrelevant blog that is actually harming the community when you are not even knowing it.
So how do I make sure that my blogs are relevant to PMC or minecraft? Open the spoiler to see what is in a relevant blog.
But what if I really want to talk about my own stuff to lots of people? Use something like facebook or tumblr. PMC is just a minecraft fan site, and that is why people join it. It is clearly not a random place to just upload whatever you like.

- Something that clearly relates to minecraft or PMC (etc. tutorials, very popular minecraft or PMC rant or article, mod idea)
- Something that will truly help you in minecraft (Not stuff like emotions and other being brave and blah blah blah......
- An information that actually is interesting and you might want to know (Not "how to make a iron sword" or "How to kill a creeper in the most boring way")
- Short and general (No need to make a super long and specific speech, you are just trying to write something simple and easy to understand
