The Redstone Update - Probably one of the most awesome updates done for Minecraft
You must have heard of the next update, a crazy and awesome update called the Redstone Update, this will add many redstone contraptions (And a few other non-redstony stuff), and are very elaborate and amazing!
Here is a list of all the things that are going to be added, how it will work, a Image, and what can be created with it
---Confirmed, and are absolutely going to be added---
-The Daylight Detector- *Drum Roll*
The Daylight Detector shall detect the light levels, when it does, it will send a redstone signal out from it.
Depending on how strong the light is, that is how strong the signal shall be, For instance, if a light level of 15 is shining on it, then it will send a redstone signal that will go... I don't know :D
So aparently, it does not only detect daylight, but any light. NOTE: Daylight is just light but super strong :D

You already know what the normal chest looks like, so just look at the trapped chest, you will notice that around the iron lock there is a little orange tint around it, that is the difference
-Activator Rail-

This was mainly made for the TNT in a minecart, when the minecart goes over this and the activator is on, the TNT will quickly explode, without warning. Now, they have also added Minecarts with dispensers, that also use the activator rail
