Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Today I will talk about endermen. Specifically, how they are depressed and insecure. I have two points that prove this.
Point 1: Notice how endermen get angry at you for looking them in the eyes. Why is this? Well, perhaps they feel unimportant, and try to make themselves feel better by making themselves feel important. Traditionally, it was respectful and curtious to bow before a king or emperor, and not rise and look them in the eyes until told to by him. Maybe endermen, to make themselves feel more important make themselves in their fantasy world be the king. When Steve looks the enderman in the eyes, this would make the enderman angry as a sign of blatant disregard for the enderman's dream and feelings.
Point 2: Notice how endermen sometimes pick up blocks. No other mob does this. My reasoning? As any minecrafter knows, endermen are not very common. So, without a friend they are probably very depressed. So, to try and have a friend, they pretend that blocks are real living friends and hold them for a while. And when they decide to get rid of the block, they don't eat it. They don't throw it. They don't make it disappear. They gently set the block back down. Another reason they might want a friend is because none of the other mobs want to be their friend. They're tall black creatures with purple eyes. A little creepy. The endermen are the outcasts and the lonely people. This rejection from the other mobs is probably the whole reason for their low self-esteem as well.
So think of it like this: An enderman tries to find a friend. He is rejected by all the mobs. He becomes an outcast that feels unimportant and lonely. In an attempt to have a companion, he carries around a single block. The enderman might talk to it. He also pretends to be the king to make himself feel important. Then some guy comes along looks him in the eyes and kills him. That "guy" was Steve. You'll never look an enderman in the eye and kill one again.
