Now, I assume that if you are reading this, you know about leveling up, and rankings here, on Planet Minecraft. However, I doubt it has been brought to much attention how easily someone could rank up many levels higher than someone else, only by spamming submissions that probably took around 5 minutes. I'm not intending to offend anyone with this post, but seriously, it feels pretty bad to see someone rocket up in levels, only because they quickly put together a very low quality skin, texture pack, or other creation. I do respect the admins on this site, and I know that they do a great job of maintaining this site, but the experience system is quite flawed. There's a friend of mine (who I will not name) that has an account on this site. He has made 10 submissions, 6 of which are skins, and is level 6. His skins have at the most, 50 some views, 15 some downloads. From those 6 skins and 4 other quickly put together submissions, which are not very popular, he has gathered enough XP for level 6. I only have 3 skins, but they have many more views and downloads than his, along with higher upvotes. I do respect him as a person (I know him IRL), but I do not like his way of submitting creations. I know this sounds like I'm very greedy for XP, and I apologize for it.
Should Planet Minecraft have experience based more onto popularity and ratings, rather than number of submissions? Please discuss.

The fundamentals of all user submission based sites.
Which will also bring them down in the end.
Just like what happened to Kazaa.
Forgotten by newer U-sub-sites.
Extinct like Mega-upload.
