TheBlueDragon06's Tutorial on Tutorials!

Ok so you would like to learn how to make a tutorial? Well you are at the right place my friend! I will teach the basics on the tutorial making.

Step one: The Idea

This is the most important step! because without the idea you have nothing and when you have nothing, there is no tutorial for you to make!. An idea can be anything that come to Mind such as

Redstone
Building a House'
How to use Worldedit
How to make a decent spawn

And much more. The idea is the foundation of the tutorial. without it your Tutorial will fail.

The more you think on the One idea the better it will be. For example if you thought about the idea "How to build a house" you could add more onto the idea such as "how to build a house with redstone" or what not.

Step Two: Taking Notes

Time to take Notes, Notes are what guide you through the whole tutorial making procedures. Taking notes may not seem fun and all but it is really useful to have them because you can look back at your notes and think "Oh! that's not right!" and fix it or "oh yes! i got it" meaning you have the notes right.

Your notes are basically anything you think about regarding your Idea, so if you think about making a basement, Right it down! if you think about adding a villager by all means right it down. A lot to take in eh?

My number one rule with note taking is be neat! like take notes on each section Like this example,

Introduction:
I am going to write about my Tutorial, I am going to describe it in depth and introduce myself to the community.

Basically write your notes in order of what you are going to be doing.

Step Three: Writing a Draft

Writing a draft Is important because if you make a mistake before you publish the tutorial you can fix it easily. If you do not know what a draft is i will explain it to you.

What is a Draft Mr.Blue?: A draft in a dictionary term is a preliminary version of a piece of writing. -Preliminary means Preparing.

When Writing a draft it is simply writing a practice Tutorial for the sake of this tutorial. so yes write it like your actually writing you Tutorial.

Your Draft should have these sections in it (I will include a description)

Introduction - What you are going to write about, What your tutorial is about, what you are going to show people how to make or write etc.
Information Paragraph one (What you need) - Give information on your project, say for example write What materials they will need, how they are going to make it, what are they going to make etc -Make the Paragraph at least 100 words
Information Paragraph 2 (Main Section), - Provide step by step Guidelines on how to build the house and make sure it is neat and orderly, no Mumbo jumbo!

And keep going from there, As i know from experience is that you cant be told how to make the tutorial, it is for you to design create and share. After all this is a guide/tutorial!

Make sure if your writing your draft on PlanetMinecraft, before you Click "Save" make sure you unchecked the "Publish Live" Button.

Step Four: Writing the Main Tutorial

Right time to turn that Draft into your Good copy. (Time to correct those spelling errors and mistakes and grammar!)

Writing the good copy is as easy as re-writing that draft of yours, Just correcting those Awful Spelling mistakes that you may have accidently made. After all Good spelling is important.

It can also mean re-organizing your Blog/Tutorial so it looks better, adding extra colors and graphics to make it pretty! if you See something and you think it can be improved, Improve it! That's your brain thinking for itself (You may not know it but your subconscious sees much clearly than you do!).

It also helps to create graphics with Photoshop such as Maybe a Picture of the end result? a picture of the steps? And most importantly a Cover picture Like what i have added.
