December 8 2013 was a milestone for me. It was that day I received 20 subscribers! But what do subscribers mean? I often see subscriptions and diamonds thrown around as contest prizes as if they're no big deal. But by all means, they have a much bigger purpose! Today I want to talk about just what a diamond, comment, subscription and view means to a PMC member.
Diamonds:
Consider the diamond as a way of "liking" someone's posts, much like on Youtube videos and Facebook posts. As innocent as this option may seem, it is often heavily abused. As I had mentioned earlier, people often throw these away as contest prizes. Sure it may seem nice to receive one, but when you think about it; it has no meaning. Diamonds are to be earned and not won. A diamond is meant to be an easy way for you to show gratitude for those who take the time and effort to produce good quality content. Diamonds should be well earned, but this doesn't mean that only the best of the best should even be looked at! This leads into commenting and providing feedback.
Commenting:
In my opinion, comments are far more helpful and powerful than simply leaving a diamond. If you leave diamonds on a effortless blog with some potential, they may not be able to expand on it and will continue to make effortless blogs. Commenting is a great way of providing feedback and for leaving ideas that anyone could see! And why is feedback important you ask? Well take the classic game of "Hot and Cold" for example. One thing you can take away from that game is that if you want people to perform well, others need to let them know how they're doing. Without feedback and the opinions of other, you are working blind. If you're lucky, you may just reach it. But for the most part, you're are left in the dark, perhaps never to reach your goal. Effective feedback is a great way of letting people know what they are doing right and what they could possibly improve at. And perhaps most important of all, it lets the person know that you took the time to look at your content and see the potential and hard work you have put into it. It also shows that people want to help you make amazing content.
View:
Admittedly, there isn't too much to say about the views. But that does not make it important! It lets content creators know that their content has caught you're in eye in some way, shape or form. It shows that something of their skin grabbed their attention and urged them to click on it.
Subscription:
Subscriptions are perhaps one of the most encouraging "thank yous" or "you did greats" you could ever give someone. It let's them know that not only do they appreciate and enjoy the content you put out. But it also sows that they recognize your ability and want to see you make more! Diamonds are a good way of showing appreciation, but I believe subscriptions are the viewers way of going to extra lengths to show this!
So now, I would like to thank you all! Every one of you who's left a diamond, or a comment, or even a view! They really push me to do my best as they do others! They let me know that people enjoy seeing the content I put out and that they want to help me put out more, possibly better, content!

Therefore I'm going to make a blog on 'we've had enough on what diamonds actually mean blogs.'.
I was listening to this song too, which made it even more convincing and- oh I don't know the word!
Well thank YOU for posting this blog! Keep on doing great!
