If zombies were nice then there would be no more zombie villagers or wasting of a weapons durability.
Zombies could give you rotten flesh whenever you want (for your wolves). You would have constant companions that make growling noises but dont attack you. You would have the ability to make little baby zombies run around everywhere.
They could help you fight and could carry stuff for you like armor. They could built houses.
