As some of you may know, I am working on Moria, which is a project that I started after seeing a group of people on the Godcraft server videos from the earliest days of the server create an impressive, albeit ugly, structure underground with large square columns. I decided that I wanted to make a project that was my own, but also was cleaner than that original project. The work on that commenced some 6 months ago and has steadily increased in speed with the start of my use of worldedit for the superaxe command and the addition of some trusted builders helping me create this construction of epic proportions. Tonight, on a random check of PMC, I noticed that there was a project that was stated as a recreation of the Godcraft Moria, v3, and that project linked to a video. In that video, I saw that the Godcraft server, which has been reset a few times since my initial project start, has had a new Moria that has been completed that is far more complex than mine, and it was done without the aid of plugins to make work go faster. This has slightly disheartened me, until I noticed that the maker of this recreation listed a link to my Moria project within his project description, giving me props for working on it by hand. While it makes me a little sad to see that my vision surpassed the original inspiration, but has been surpassed by its descendant, I am glad that my work is being recognized and I also thank the others who have worked hard on Moria and the work that is still being done. Those people are listed in the Additional Credit section below.
