Something that really gets on my nerves when I log onto a server is a server that has some essentially mock-metropolitian. That 100 square kilometer city that takes time away from actually playing Minecraft because I have to walk about and through the rubble of some greifed attempt of a city, or navigate throuhg some overt complicated mess of buildings and pixel art. I remember a time when every server I went on resembled some sort of middle age time. Villages and small castles every where, small clans of people gathering resources to make their village better or sabotage the latest project of another. Now, I can't find any of those and I'm left looking at a list of protective mods designed to protect some goof-ball's 8 story golden cock from people who may not like looking out of their 80 floor diamond structures at this yellow blip on the horizon and would love to demolish it. Yes there is nothing wrong with creative servers, but the example I just gave is a prime example of many survival servers I've seen lately. I'm find with miles of golden cocks and castles in creative servers (You can play the game any way you like) but my question is why do we even have survival if it's not survival. It's basically Sims at this point in most survival servers. You get money by doing random jobs and then buy a bloody lot for your house and then proceed to take what ever resources you have to build the house (Or buy more with a your extra funds). Maybe I'm just looking at the wrong servers and getting pissed at nothing.
