Beyond the Clouds adds a new dimension that's... well, beyond the clouds!

It includes:

  • One new dimension
    • In the form of floating islands
    • Accessed by going above y level 448 in the overworld
    • Left by going below y level -48 in the dimension
  • Five new biomes
    • The Cherry Islands
    • The Lush Islands
    • The Flower Forest Islands
    • The Dark Forest Islands
    • The Frozen Grove Islands
    • The Autumnal Forest Islands
  • One new structure
    • The Sky Village, a floating island version of a regular village.
  • Two new advancements
    • One granted for reaching the dimension
    • Another granted for exploring all 5 new biomes

Notice:


It is highly recommended you backup your world before adding any datapack, especially world generation datapacks. Datapacks that add new dimensions cannot be removed easily.

I'm having issues with getting to the dimension, I fly up to as high as even Y 700 and still am not being teleported to the dimension. I was trying to find a help site, a github, a wiki, a dc or anything to ask for help and eventually found this. I am using the Modrinth version, fabric, 1.20.4. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated!

In fact, when I looked around more, it's as if the datapack isn't installed at all even though it's in the pack.

It doesn't work for me

I'm using modrinth to create my modpack and when I install the datapack it doesn't even show up in the datapack list

Okay so I tested this out on my paper server on an existing world (I know, bad idea but I saved a backup first) and it worked. Server crashed after a while, with error "Description: Feature placement
java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index (0) is greater than or equal to list size (0)" but it's back up and running now.

All in all, this is a great pack. I just wish the transition into the sky islands were less like entering the nether or another dimension where you just pop up there, and more like you're actually flying into the dimension. The islands overworlds datapack has it where you just fly into the dimension, but your islands are better in my opinion so I'll be sticking with yours.

I lost the airplane I was riding on the way up :( Is there a way to make it so modded mounts travel with you in relation to your location below instead of spawning directly on an island? Same thing happened on the way down with an airship both using the immersive aircraft mod

Doesnt work this is absurd i thought it would but no it doesn't unless it uses player json
