This data pack was created for PrivateMe's Medieval Time Contest.This data pack allows you to make easily a working classic medieval castle gate. To create a gate, simply drop a stack of oak fences and a stack of stone bricks on a redstone block. The redstone, fences and stone will disappear and four buttons will appear, one for each direction. Press the button in the desired direction and a huge structure will appear.
Move the lever to open and close the gate. You can decorate the gate with your own design, but make sure you don't block the fences' way with blocks. This may cause many issues while trying to open/close the gate. Also don't put blocks in front to the gate, where there are normally barriers when the gate is closed.
To destroy the gate, break the lever. You will get your redstone, stone bricks and fences back. If you did something I told you not to do and weird things happen, destroying the gate will do.
If there are more than one gate, switching one lever will switch all levers in gates in the same direction.

TEMPORAL SOLUTION
It's been a while since I made this data pack, but I am pretty sure the whole building is standing on a single invisible armor stand with the tag castle_gate_east, castle_gate_west, castle_gate_north or castle_gate_south. You can use the following command to kill all armor stands of east castle gates (you can change 'east' to something else if it's not east, or just try all directions if you're not sure. It also should autocomplete to the right direction). This will remove all castle gates of that direction in your world. There may be bugs if your gate is open, so make sure to close it first and wait until the fences become solid (not the barriers, the fences themselves). After you killed the armor stand, pull the lever to make sure it is really destroyed. If nothing happens, you can break the gate safely.
