Normally when you break a chest, items spill and is very clumsy. Now this data pack solves this problem!
This data pack is inspired by the inconvenience when player for migrating, mining for diamond/netherite, or just want to move the chest around while preserving how the items in the chest is managed and ordered.
This data pack convert a block state chest into item state, while all the things inside the chest preserved, infinitely expanding your inventory!
How to use:
1. rename your axe (wooden, stone, iron, golden, diamond, or netherite) to Chest Pack
2. aim at the chest block and walk around until the states is constantly in pink and break the chest
There are 3 states:
ready (in green): the data pack is functioning, you are holding an axe that can pack the chest
packing (in pink): break the chest now will pack the chest block into an item*
fail (in red): there are items on the ground, pick all or just remove them
*sometimes it will be blinking green and pink, move around until the state is constantly in pink
It is suggested to stay 2 blocks away from the chest block, at the same level, with an angle of depression around 18 deg ~ 26 deg
(as this is how the data pack is created)

select the chest and type the following can show what item is inside the chest, so you don't need to place it down and pick it up to check:
/trigger john_showchest
After download the latest version, uninstall the old one (cleanup) and delete it, install the new one.

Meanwhile, if you put these chests into another chest, the final chest will be actually holding 27*27 items using 1 item slot.

After all, infinite inventory is the intended functionality, while it may not please everyone, hopefully some may find it useful and enrich their survival experience.
