Overview: Have you ever wanted to hover around Minecraft's beautiful landscape unobstructed? To never have to switch from boat, to horse, to minecart, to pig? Have you ever wished that you could shoot lasers? Well I've got just the vehicle for you. The 74-Z Speeder Bike (better known as the Imperial Speeder Bike) was a popular military variation of the common 74-Y model produced by Aratech Repulsor Corporation. This model saw action from the beginning of the Clone Wars, at the battle of Geonosis, all the way to the Galactic Empire's decline and eventual fall- a testament to its longevity. Now, as a special May 4th treat, it's available to you.

Crafting: The crafting recipe is simple. It requires four iron ingots, four glass blocks, and one end crystal (because, hey, both of these things have a tendency to blow up). View the image above for specifics.

Behavior: The bike will place your hotbar, offhand, and helmet into its storage upon boarding. It acts like a normal chested mule, so to speak, and you can store anything you please (except saddles) in its compartment. The bike moves faster when it's low to the ground, but if you get just high enough you can start hovering- this works even over water and lava. Press CRTL while hovering in midair to get a speed boost. But be careful not to take too much damage; if the bike's health is depleted, it explodes and destroys your items (for the most part). Makes sense, right?

How to drive it: The speeder bike is easy to ride. Simply use normal movement controls to tell it where to go. You'll also probably notice some controls in your hotbar; these are for firing the underbelly-mounted compact laser cannon and canceling the speeder, turning it back into a transponder that you can pick up and use to spawn it again. Simply right-click either to use them. Also note that canceling the speeder drops the items stowed inside, so you don't have to be afraid about losing anything. Or blowing up, because it doesn't do that here.

Why is it called Chimerabot's Speeder Bike(s)? This is because I actually plan to add more speeder bikes. Maybe the BARC speeder, Din Djarin's rusty ride, or even the STAP speeder used by the Separatist Alliance. Keep an eye on this post and watch for updates.

How I got the map: Geet_Builds created a beautiful Endor map that looks incredible for screenshots. It even held up well enough for me to use it as a testing world over the entire course of this datapack's development. It's complete with TIE fighters, AT-ATs, and even an Ewok village.
