Solar Eclipse V2
By Chimerabot
Overview: This datapack is a semi-direct update of an older datapack from my early days of coding, and more prominently, an entry for Pleasenotme's Relics datapack contest. Craft the Solar Medallion and use it to begin the bossfight. Once you defeat the Solar Illusioner, you'll earn yourself two new weapons and maybe even an Eclipse Sigil, which allows you to increase the power of those weapons. View the below segments for some more information.
The bossfight: First, you need to craft a Solar Medallion out of four Gold Blocks, four Blaze Rods, and a Clock (recipe picture is above). Right-click with this in your hand to summon the Solar Illusioner. As normal Illusioners do, he makes copies of himself and shoots you with a bow (which has Flame). He has three special attacks as well, and a second phase you'll need to get past once you take out two thirds of his health. In this phase, he moves faster, takes less damage, and becomes completely immune to fire. Upon killing him, you'll get two special weapons- the Suncleaver and the Fireguard. There is a 1/3 drop chance for another special item, called the Eclipse Sigil.
Attack list:
- Targeted Fireball: The Illuisoner shoots a fireball in your direction, which explodes on contact. In the second phase, it moves faster and creates a small poison cloud.
- Cleansing Flames: The Illuisoner heals himself slightly. Disabled in second phase.
- Flame Wave: The Illuisoner shoots a wave of flames in your direction. Getting hit by one will deal a healthy amount of damage, and even more in the second phase.
- Sunflare: This attack replaces Cleansing Flames once the Illusioner reaches his second phase. A bolt of lightning, along with a poison cloud, are cast in the direction the Illusioner is facing.
The weapons: The Suncleaver shoots a ricocheting fire bolt when you hit a mob, which bounces between nearby entities until fizzling out. The Fireguard is a relatively normal Flame bow, but using Spectral arrows casts fireballs instead of normal arrows. The Eclipse Sigil, which is dropped by the Solar Illusioner with a 1/3 chance, increases the power of both of these special weapons when held in the offhand, and has its own ability when right-clicked- it gives you a temporary stat boost with a cooldown.

Note: This datapack is not completely finished. Since it had to be a little rushed in for this contest's deadline, there are a few things I'd still like to add, but it's perfectly playable and enjoyable.
Also, the special texture for the Solar Illuisoner requires Optifine. You can still enjoy the datapack without it, but it certainly adds a special something to the bossfight when it looks cooler than a normal Illusioner.
Maybe consider subscribing? I'm actively trying to grow my Youtube channel (a video for this pack is coming soon), and I'd really be pleased if you were along for the ride. If you liked this datapack, or my video, I'd appreciate any advice on how to get better at this whole thing. A subscription would be hugely valued, and then you get notified on my new posts and releases. Besides, it's totally free!

Thanks again for looking at this datapack, and make sure to bring some Fire Resistance potions!
