    I once had an SMP that contained this data pack (plus this datapack too), but that SMP is long gone so now I uploaded it here for former members and new players to enjoy! This is a Minecraft Data Pack that adds prehistoric animals that spawn naturally in the overworld.

    Most creatures are from the past. A Majority of them we know, including the dinosaurs, the mammoths, and the giant bugs of the Carboniferous. But some of these prehistoric mobs are unknown to science and are up to you to find! Information on the mobs can be found in the Prehistory Encyclopedia that you will spawn with.

    The prehistoric animals are made to be as scientifically accurate as possible, but may have stylized features and colors. The fictional animals may also have fantastical elements put into them.

    Compatible versions:
    - If you want to make sure it works, use 1.21+ and make sure none of your plugins, mods, or other data packs mess with this data pack's functions.
    - Anything below 1.21 will not work.
    - The old version of this data pack (that contains both kaiju and dinosaurs) is still available for download here. This version is meant purely for 1.20.4, Optifine is required for this older version.
    - I will never make versions meant for older versions of the game as there are already multiple mods and datapacks for those versions.

    If you want to use it in a video or Minecraft server, please just link the PlanetMinecraft link in the description or credits section. You are not allowed to repost this datapack or a modified version of it on any site (looking at you 9Minecraft).

    - Olorotitan, meant to replace the Edmontosaurus from Crewmate's Mobs Data Pack (Cave Bear will be in the next update!)
    - Multiple custom items dropped by mobs, all custom items are made through the Prehistory Workbench.

    I've moved onto new projects but I might remake these data packs sometime in the future (Albeit in a smaller form, no promises though)

    I think simply an update that makes the datapack compatible with post 1.21.5 mc would do nicely, afterall, the charm of datapacks is that they work with several MC versions, and don't need a specific modloader

    These datapacks are too large for me to update them across multiple technical changes easily. I'll probably do a fresh data pack based on these, if anything. Pls stop trying to get me to update this since these current versions will most likely be the last.

    Dang... imo this datapack was not only a good datapack but a great dinosaur survival experience. Im more upset this wont update again because, as you stated earlier, it's broken post 1.21.
