DESCRIPTION

Hi everyone, I have made a Data pack which allow you to create potions with all effects. You can also combine them, change duration and amplifier. This Data Pack doesn't change vanilla potions, you can continue to use them.

INSTALLATION

It's very simple, you just have to put the Data Pack in the Data Pack folder of your map.
When you are in game, do a /reload to be sure that the Data Pack is installed.

HOW DOES IT WORK

These new potions can be created thanks to 3 shards:
- effect shard
- amplifier shard
- duration shard

In order to create them, you need an Infuser.

Infuser

To create the Infuser you need to place a dropper facing up, an other dropper facing down in front of the first one with one spacing block and put an item frame on top of the dropper facing up. (image 2)

Now you can create your first shard with:
- white dye
- crimpson fungus or warped fungus

Place the white dye in bottom dropper and crimpson/warped fungus in the top dropper.

Congratulation, you just created a shard. This shard is needed to craft the others.

Effect Shards

There are 32 effect shards, one for each potion effect and all of these shards can be created in the infuser.

Amplifier Shards

They can be crafted in the infuser. For the last 3 levels of the amplifier shard, you need to have a minimum of 10 levels orelse the shard won't be crafted. These levels will be remove from your player.

Duration Shards

You just have to put a shard in the item frame put on the top of the bottom dropper and place a redstone in the top dropper. Your shard will be infused with the redstone. For each redstone infused in the shard, the duration increase by 4 seconds.

Warning: the infuser can only infuse the redstone one by one.

Potion creation

Now you know how to create all shards needed to craft a potion.

To use them, you need to place a brewing stand. Above it, place a dropper facing down with one spacing block and an item frame under the top dropper. (image 2)

Fill the brewing stand with awkward potions (water bottle + nether wart) and place your shards into the top dropper. Each shard will infuse the potions placed in the brewing stand. You can add gunpowder to craft splash potions and dragon's breath for lingering potions. As in vanilla, you can add them at any time during the crafting process.

The infuser will use the fuel in the brewing stand for each shard and potion infused.

Warning: If a potion has more than one effect, the infuser won't work.

Potion Combining

You can combine many potions to craft powerful potions. Put a custom potion (not a splash/lingering) in the brewing stand into the left slot. This slot is the only one which works for combining potions. Then place your other potions into the top dropper to combine them.

Effect Arrows

To craft tipped arrows, nothing changes from vanilla craft. Put your custom lingering potion in a crafting table with 8 arrows around.
