Required Resource Pack
198
Hi everyone! This datapack adds several different playable instruments into your game! So far it's a major work in progress, so keep that in mind if you discover bugs or aren't satisfied with the current instruments in the pack. I plan on expanding this pack as frequently as I can with new content!
All of the instruments in this pack can be crafted at the instrument crafting table. This crafting station allows you to craft any instrument so long as you have the listed materials for it in your inventory. Hovering over an item in the menu will tell you what materials you need to make an instrument. The recipe for an instrument crafting table can be found on the second picture in the photo gallery.
Once an instrument has been crafted, simply hold it in your main hand! This will open up an in-world interface containing all of the notes you can play. Right click on any shown note to play it!
Some instruments will also require additional items to play. Electric string instruments require an amp nearby to play if they are electric instruments (electric guitar, electric bass, and so on). Playing these instruments without being within 10 blocks of an amp will cause them to not produce any sound. (I know this isn't the most realistic but it was a stylistic choice to give amps a use). The recipe for an amp can be found in the second picture in the photo gallery. All bowed string instruments also require a bow to play them normally, which can be made in the instrument crafting table.
- Sheet music/tabs? Maybe something to where instruments can play a given piece in the off hand?
- Instrument stands for displaying instruments
- The sounds for the instruments are subject to change (looking at the acoustic bass)
- Amp functionality is subject to change
- More instruments in general (crazy, I know)
- Brass
- Wind
- Keyboards/pianos
- Microphones with different voices
- Percussion (both pitched and unpitched)
- And a few more surprises ;P

Things I Plan On Adding
- I might also update some textures if I figure out how to make them look more detailed but still nice- Sheet music/tabs? Maybe something to where instruments can play a given piece in the off hand?

6 Update Logs
v0.7 Beta (It's Back) : by Deesaster 06/13/2022 6:00:18 amJun 13th, 2022
Hi everyone! It's been a while since the last update! While this one isn't necessarily big and doesn't contain any new content to play with, I thought I would make some minor updates to at least come back to this project. All around, this update was mostly just to beautify some of the existing content and bring it up to speed with my current standard :)
- Retextured both the instrument crafting table and amp
- Updated the resource pack to format 9
- Updated the datapack to format 10
- Assured that the datapack still works in 1.19 (still compatible with 1.17 and 1.18 though)
- Made a new pack.png with the new instrument crafting table texture
- Updated the preview pictures on the page :D
While I won't guarantee that there will be more updates soon, I'm confident that work on this will at least be semi-frequent again!
