DropLadder is a simple datapack that allows you to make your own Rope Ladder in Survival Minecraft to get down to places alot easier!
To do this:
- Place a ladder block down, then throw the ladder items towards the placed ladder.
+ This will cause it to set ladder blocks as the ladder items fall until it hits the ground, giving you an easy way down.
Looks like a functioning Rope Ladder, too!
Works in Multiplayer!

There are achievements,
but the function does not work.
Adding a datapack to an already created world won't work.
I just created a new world and it works...
Maybe you've installed something else in the already created world that could mess up the pack?
If that still doesn't work, join the Discord and make a help thread and I'll be able to help you more clearly.
EDIT: wait, nevermind, you're not using the 1.18x version for Minecraft 1.18x.
(then again it's on me for not clearly stating the version for this post in particular, so there's that.)
If one of the data packs included in the world fails,
it seems that the rest will also fail.
That's why your datapack doesn't seem to work.
One of the data packs used in the existing world was broken.
As for the 1.18x series, I'm currently working on all of them, releases should be out for public in a few days.
