Place your railway on netherrack and your minecarts will move 2.5x faster (20 blocks per second)! Works well with corners, slopes, different rail types, etc. Instruction file included. Multiplayer compatible. I'm open to suggestions for improvements.

Make one with boats? I am currently watching a 1.18 snapshot. And the idea of boat sledges is great! Maybe a like netherrack boats go faster on all ice/snow types with various speeds and floats on powdered snow because of wood.

How would you make the minecarts go faster? I am building this railway over a long distamce and need it to go around 30-40 blocks per second. Thanks

Do you know if you could make an option where it only works in certain dimensions? Like overworld only that I can configure within the datapack.

This guy made his work while players weren't in them. Is there some way you can make it so? Like empty, chest, and hopper carts are faster too? WITHOUT command blocks

I could, but the pack would be at least 3x laggier. I'm trying to go back and optimize my packs as much as I can so that I'm able to compile them into 1 big package.



Is there a specific reason you want unoccupied minecarts to go faster?

trying to make a infinitely dense storage system using minecart chests, works fine but the speed decreases as it has to check each individual cart, if they were faster i could check more per second and get them from check to me quicker. If that makes sense.

If you open main.mcfunction i think if you delete "if entity @p[distance=..1] " (including the space) it should work for empty minecarts but i think chest carts are their own entity
