Just a simple data pack that allows you to fish in lava.
Instruction
Fishing
Currently, you can just use a normal fishing rod to fish in the nether. (not sure if I should force players to use a netherite rod)
You can fish different items if you're in different biomes. (eg. bone in soul sand valley)
For more details, you can unzip the file and search for the file fish_chance.yaml, which contains the full list of fishable items and their chance to be fish up.
Fireball
In the v1.1.1 update, I added some functions that let there be a 5% chance to fish up fireball from lava.
Though, the function is disabled by default. If you want to enable this, just simply type in this command:
Strider
In the v1.2 update, I added some functions that let there be a 10% chance to fish up a baby strider (it will stay small for about 204 years).
However, the function is also disabled by default. If you want to enable this, just simply type in this command:
Customizable Settings
In the v1.2 update, I moved some of the variables to a separate file, at data/lavafish_settings/functions/settings.mcfunction.
All you need to know should be in that file, so I'm not going to get into the details here.
Uninstall / Reinstall the Pack
Normally if you drag the pack to your world file and reload, the game would automatically set things up. If the pack doesn't work properly, you can try this command:

- Added a feature that lets you have a chance to fish up a baby strider.
- Added a function that lets it has a chance to fish up a fireball shooting at you.
- Use /function lavafish:strider/enable to turn on, /function strider:disable to turn off. (Disabled by default)
- If enabled, there's a 10% chance that a fireball shoots you when you're fishing.
- Changed the probability of fishing up a fireball to 5%
- Changed the fireball command to /function lavafish:fireball/enable and /function lavafish:fireball/disable
- Added functionality to let you reinstall/uninstall the pack.
- Added a custom fish "Fish Bone".
- Added special loot for fishing in basalt deltas.
- Sorted the internal files. Should make it easier to make changes.

- Fixed some issues related to UUID which broke the pack.

but hold on a second did you say it works well on multiplayer?
I mean I tested that and it didn't work properly...
idk maybe there's something we didn't notice.
