In snapshot 25w05a, Mojang added the option to create variant cows. With this datapack, I use that new functionality to create a few new cow variants - Elemental Water, Lava, and Ice cows, as well as Vanilla, Chocolate, and Berry cows.

Water cows can be created by feeding any cow a Heart of the Sea. Once converted, right clicking a Water Cow with an empty bucket will fill it with water instead of milk.

To create a Lava Cow, craft a Heart of the Nether by combining a Heart of the Sea with 4 magma cream and 4 netherite. Feed this to a cow to convert it! Right clicking a Lava Cow with an empty bucket will fill it with lava instead of milk.

To create a Snow Cow, craft a Heart of the Nether by combining a Heart of the Sea with 4 snowballs and 4 blue ice. Feed this to a cow to convert it! Right clicking a Snow Cow with an empty bucket will fill it with powdered snow instead of milk.

Flavored Milk cows can be created by feeding a cow Sugar, Cocoa Beans, or Sweet Berries. Flavored Milk Cows give flavored milk when right-clicked with an empty bucket.

Additionally, Flavored Milk can be crafted with Powdered Snow to create a bucket of Ice Cream! Ice Cream can be eaten, and (currently) clears negative status effects when consumed. This will probably be re-balanced in the future.
