WELCOME TO FROZEN WASTELAND!
This pack freezes the world over, requiring you to survive the extreme cold. Your goal is to defeat the cold in order to save the world from eternal winter. The higher you go the colder it gets, so beware. Changes include:

- Having Ocean Ruins spawn all over the surface
- Increasing mountain generation and height
- Adding a new rare resource in the mountains and an associated armor set in order to combat the cold
- Adding expansive Underground Villages in order to supply you with resources
- Expanding nether height to 256 and placing it below zero
- Revamping Nether Fortresses
- Changing how netherite spawns
- Making diamonds more exposed
- Crashing the emerald market
- Changing how music plays
- Adding a new mechanic: coldness
- Buffing Netherite Armor
- Adding custom advancements
- Changing the End Fight
Features as of 1.1.0:
- Changing how the surface generates
- Adding ambiance to surface biomes
- Adding 2 new surface biomes
- Replacing Stronghold with Ice Palaces
- Revamping End Cities
- Adding thunder storms
- Adding more music to various areas
- Adding endgame content
- Adding remote beacons
- Changing the Wither Fight
Before going into this pack, however, I recommend reading about how the coldness mechanic works, as it is a vital part of the pack.
Your coldness value starts at and maxes out at 300000. Every tick it is reduced by your dFreeze value which is based up your y-level, with negative values heating you up. This value is multiplied by 1.5 during night in frozen biomes, and again by 7/6ths during thunderstorms, when the sun cannot protect you. The only other way to heat up is to stand by light sources, with heat provided under the following conditions:
light level 13 - 100 dFreeze
light level 14 - 150 dFreeze
light level 15 - 200 dFreeze
The rate at which you gain or reduce coldness is dependent on your conductivity, with the equation:
..used to calculate this rate. Conductivity is gained through armor sets, with certain armor being more useful than others.
Fluids can factor dFreeze, with powdered snow factoring it by 3 and water factoring it by 10. The final result is temperature, the precise rate at which you gain/loose coldness measured by a special clock. It is a great way of both measuring the effectiveness of armor against the cold and determining if you are in a dangerous situation or not.
COLDNESS DEBUFS
your level of coldness determines certain debuffs, with:
WARM - strength and efficiency
Normal - duh
COLD - weakness and mining fatigue
It should be noted that going below zero causes you to enter a critical condition called FREEZING! The only way to recover from this condition is to not be COLD. Your minimum coldness is -200000.
One last recomendation: Turn on music for this pack. I have a great selection of music hand picked for every situation in this pack, and it would be a shame if you turned it of. Note: TURNING ON MUSIC IS VITAL FOR THE END FIGHT, AND IS RECOMMENED TO BE KEPT ON EVEN IF YOU TURN OFF ALL OTHER MUSIC.
