For 1.15+ Improves silk touch function (updated).

Can silk-touch ANY spawner of any kind.
Cut the per-tick from 355 lines of code to 2.
Added predicates, so super streamlined.

Allows mining and placing infested blocks too:
-infested stone
-infested cobblestone
-infested stone_bricks
-infested cracked_stone_bricks
-infested mossy_stone_bricks
-infested chiseled_stone_bricks

Default use of silk touch on an infected block will drop only the uninfected version of the block item. This improved GatSilk silktouch will drop the actual infected block item!

Allows mining and placing ANY monster spawners, EVEN CUSTOM ONES!

Default use of silk touch on a monster spawner will drop nothing. This improved GatSilk silk touch will drop the corresponding monster spawner item, which can be placed anywhere you like!.

if you break a spawner with silk touch, it still gives you exp.

When you keep breaking it and placing a blaze spawner, it sometimes turns into a pig spawner

I downloaded it, and installed into a new world... and it works. So just to keep testing, I kept mining up spawners and placing them over and over... it did manage to fail once, turning into a pig spawner, but it was rare being just that once. I will keep studying to figure out why it failed that once. Keep in mind this datapack is doing the best job to work around Minecraft specifically not allowing the silk touch and placement of spawners.

Hey, thanks for the pack first of all. I am playing on a 1.15.2 server and every time a spawner is mined, it turns back into a pig spawner, so that part kinda doesn't work for me on 1.15.2.

Is now fixed, and working great in 1.15.2 and 1.16-pre. Silk-touch away any spawner or infested block. Enjoy!

Using the latest version and spawners still sometimes turn into pig spawners :/

You may have an outdated Clerk. Try killing your Clerk and reload.

kill @e[tag=Clerk]
Keep in mind, this Clerk keeps track of all kinds of things in all my datapacks... so... if you are running my other stuff... be sure to make a backup of your world first to make sure things don't go all haywire on you. AND if you are running my other stuff... make sure the Silk-Touch datapack loads first, so it gets first dibs at making the Clerk the way it needs it to be.

There is an enchantment in Minecraft called Silk Touch, which allows certain tools to pick up items that normally wouldn't be given to the player. For example, with silk touch picks you can pick up ice and glass without breaking them, and with a silk touch shovel you can pick up grass. This pack allows you to similarly pick up monster spawners and infected blocks with a pick, which in default vanilla Minecraft would just break.
