Since I made a grappling hook for a map I decided to make it into a data pack. The map I am referring to is Stealth and Puzzles

When you use the grappling hook it will connect to where you are looking and take you there. It has a range of 40.3 blocks.

The crafting recipe is in the image gallery. The recipe is 5 string in the shape of a minecart and 3 iron in the remaining slots in the top left corner.

    Use crouch to stop grappling.

    Update #3 : by Endernice61 10/12/2023 5:05:26 pmOctober 12, 2023 @ 9:05 pm UTC

The grappling hook now has the proper name in the new snapshot.
Improved the auto dismount so it does not send the player flying.

Sorry, my mistake. I thought that the recipe crafted trigger was added in 1.19.4.
    This version should work: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/yv7asj2jogntf7cgbui8p/Grappling-Hook.zip?rlkey=ua4wwwmnqgajllb04whcca73g&dl=1
