This datapack allows you to vein mine. To vein mine, hold crouch and mine a block.
To change the options, look directly up and press sneak. Open chat to select the option.
Notes about vein mining:
It does not work on all blocks, because it compares the item dropped and the loot tables of the adjacent blocks. Only 16 blocks can be removed per tick to reduce lag, so if multiple people are vein mining, it might take some time. The datapack compares the item dropped and the loot tables of adjacent blocks. Vein miner does not work with an empty hand.
Things to be careful of:
Accidentally vein mining your base.
Vein mining containers, it does not drop its contents when mined.
Vein mining multiple kinds of blocks, if their loot tables have the same drop then both will be vein mined.
Installation
The datapack is called something like "vein-miner-e1670.zip" and should be in the already existing datapacks folder in your world's folder. If you are creating a new world, click datapacks and open folder, then paste. Then enable it.
Options
[​Toggle]: Disables or enables vein mining
[​Mode]: Goes between vein mining ores only and vein mining all blocks. Items will still teleport even if it is set to ores.


Vein mining can be restricted to a specific area with Building Plan installed using the destruction plan, which is crafted with red dye and paper.

history
thers a bug its mining out not just veins but like a full area of tuff blocks while i was making a zombie spawner it took out a massive area of tuff like a nuke hit underground i am playing on 1.20.4 tho so maybe just a bug

Look directly up and crouch and it will give you a dialogue where you can change the mode to ores and it will only mine out ores.

Thanks for updating to 1.21.4!. I feared this dp had been abandoned, but even though it's stated that it's "mostly functional" it seems to working well so far. Love this datapack! 👍

I have a little problem when I look directly up and press sneak nothing happened but one times just work and I don't know how I did it
