    Villager Soldiers - By Hexuar


    Adds Villager Archers, a new type of villager that will protect their village at all costs! A new villager has a 1/5 chance to become an archer and any already existing villager can be converted to an archer if they pick up a bow.

    Also don't forget to download the resource pack as the datapack won't fully work otherwise!

    Warning, if you add the datapack to a new world, all existing villagers have a chance of being converted to archers instead. To fix this issue, run the following command in your world before installing the datapack: /tag @e[​type=minecraft:villager] add villagerChecked

    Can you fix it because it works and shoots arrows, but it shows barrier block on top of his headand when it dies it drops snow on the ground

    Hey, i just tried the datapack in 1.19.4 and the resource pack was shown as outdated i tried it anyway but the villager archer texture has a purple/black error skin. Is there gonna be an update or bugfix?

    This was broken in 1.19.3. I'll be updating once I've got the time.

    yay! seems I keep discovering pretty awesome "mods" in last hours today :)



    One of them being something quite close to this one, since most of the older mob/monster/npc mods are not updated for latest MC version :/ so maybe I have found a suitable replacement for them with this one :)



    I will try it out and see how it fullfills the role I am aiming for.

    I'm working on a rework of this datapack, as it was meant more like an experiment I wanted to share at first. It is not easy to make functional entities with special abilities that don't make the game unplayable bc of lag though and since I'm working on a lot of other things as well it's going to take a while.
