Description


A quality of life datapack that will sort your inventory (excluding hotbar) into a defined group ordering. The sort order is as follows mining, mining_products, woods, wood_products, plantables, consumables, tools, weapons, then unsorted. This datapack is not complete and thus has no way of changing the built in sorting order/groups.

Installation

  1. Download the attached .zip from here or the Releases section of the Github page
  2. Unzip this file and copy all .zip files inside to your world's datapack folder at %APPDATA%\.minecraft\saves\<world>\datapacks (There should be multiple datapacks to paste in)
  3. Launch the world, type /reload

Usage



Sort your inventory with the command /trigger dt.sort

After downloading the datapack and applying it, it worked fine for the first few days. Now all of a sudden it doesn't seem to work. The /trigger command didn't need to be enabled via /scoreboard as I was OP, but after a while they stopped working. I would use the /trigger commands, and not only would they not work and disappear afterwards but reusing them would give the "You cannot trigger this objective yet." Even after doing /scoreboard players enable, the command still does not work and doesn't sort and will disappear again immediately after. The only "fix" i have found was to delete the datapack from my Worlds files, and then reinstall it but even then after a while the same problem emerges again.



Sorry for the long post, but after trying to scour forums for hours I still have not found a proper fix. Please help in any way you can, I really do not want to have to constantly re-install this datapack everytime it fails.

I ran the inventory command and it just ended up deleting my whole inventory. Is there any way to get it back???

Just pushed a fix for an issue with sorting in the nether that this may be related to.

history
I sorted some chest attached to a gunpowder farm that collects a bunch of string and gunpower. The chest are all attached to hoppers when they're collected. A bunch of the items disappeared. Should we not sort chest attached to hoppers?

EDIT: I think I was able to reproduce the issue. It doesn't work with double chest? It deletes items and only leaves 27 items which is the capacity of a single chest.

Updated to work on chests. Look at the chest and run /trigger dt.sort_chest

Hi there!

I'm using 1.16.4 with the latest version of Optifine, but the datapack doesn't seem to be working.

For reference, I'm testing it in a single-player world that I've opened to LAN with a few other datapacks that seem to be working on their own:

  • Timber
  • AFK Notifier
  • Dynamic Sapplings
  • Veinmeiner


Whenever I enter the command /trigger dt.sort to sort my inventory, I get the following error code:



Unknown scoreboard objective 'dt. sort'

I'd love a chance to use your datapack in my next Realm with friends.
