    This datapack allows you to shear item frames to make them invisible, make item displays, make facades, and prevents item rotation if not sneaking.

    To make item frame invisible, sneak and right click item frame holding shears
    To make an item display sneak and right click item frame holding glass pane/glass
    To make facade, sneak and right click item frame with block holding painting

    You can also place a glass block on item frame and it will not disappear

    Remove item from item frame to make it visible/remove display/facade

    To unload this datapack use this command: /function frame:unload
    This will remove all item displays and facades

    I love this! Is there anyway to make the item frame acting as an item display COMPLETELY invisible?

    Currently no, it would be too hard to detect interaction with item frame without item in it

    That's fair. On a related note, the facades let me replace the green carpets over the hoppers in my chicken pen
    with the actual grass texture....and it looks soooo good!

    It's very rare that it happens but sometimes when I punch the item frame that has a floating item in it, the glass pane gets removed like normal but item left inside the frame switches to another item I have on display near by. This has resulted in some lost items. I am hoping you are able to fix this at some point because I really enjoy using this pack.

    I'm not sure that I fixed exactly that bug, but I found a similar one
