A lightweight and easy-to-install veinmining datapack that doesn't require any mods or plugins!

JAVD - Just Another VeinMiner Datapack Minecraft Data Pack

Installation
  1. Download the datapack.
  2. If you are generating a new world, in the settings screen click on "Data Packs". Click the "Open Pack Folder" button and drag the zip file of the datapack into the folder.If you are playing in an already generated world, open the "datapack" folder of the world and put the zip file of the datapack inside it.
  3. Once in game, run the command /reload
  4. If the datapack has been installed correctly, you should see this in the advancement section:

How to use the datapack:

This datapack is extremely easy to use, just hold down the shift button while breaking one of the following ores with a proper pickaxe:
  • Coal ore.
  • Iron Ore
  • Gold Ore
  • Nether Golden Ore
  • Lapis lazuli Ore
  • Diamond Ore
  • Redstone Ore
  • Emerald Ore
  • Nether Quartz Ore
  • Ancient debris
The datapack also automatically takes into account whether the pick is enchanted with fortune or unbreaking.
The damage that the pickaxe will receive after using the veinminer, will be calculated based on the blocks that have been broken by the player.

Is there anyway to add in blocks to the datapack, if we want to include blocks like Andesite, Granite, Diorite?

You should create new function files equal to the existing ones. However, in a few days I will release a version with this option, which can be enabled / disabled by config
