This datapack adds a custom mob to your game, the Jungle Roper.
The jungle roper is peaceful towards you, but hostile towards pretty much everything edible. It shoots out vines to pull unassuming creatures in then sucks out the juicy bits and spits away the rest. I can not tell you how satisfying it is to watch a cow be flung across the room out of nowhere; I spent a lot of time just feeding the things. Feeding them also has benefits, they occasionally spit out more jungle ropers after consuming their prey.
You might wonder what purpose they serve, aside from making a Rube-Goldberg cow farm. The yummy animals include the hoglin and zoglin, so if you import then into the nether, you can have base protection and a supply of food.
The jungle roper must be placed on the underside of a log. It can be killed normally (dropping string), mined with a pickaxe (dropping a jungle sapling and a flower pot), or uprooted by mining the block above it (dropping itself).
For those of you wondering where I've been, school just started up for me, and I'm still getting used to it. I plan to make more Vanilla Esque packs and work on some long term projects. Progress may pick back up in a few weeks, but I don't want to make any promises. Thank you all for the support you've been giving me!

Works well as an afk mob farm, harvesting stray animals and collecting the drops w/ hoppers below.
Although, I just like seeing it in action from time to time.
