Welcome to the Minecraft Magic System Add-on!

While removing nothing from vanilla, this pack adds a new magic system, with spellbooks, spellcrafting, wands... and more!
The intent is to add a whole new mechanic without disturbing anything else, so the maximum amount of worlds/projects can make use of this pack. It literally consists of only functions and a resource pack.
Let's get started!
Magic Types
Magic and spells in this add-on are divided into four categories/colors:
•White Magic (healing & protection)
•Gold Magic (beneficial effects)
•Red Magic (detrimental effects)
•Black Magic (damage & harmful effects)
Spellcrafting Table
The core of the magic system is the new Spellcrafting Table. This is an 'upgrade' of a Crafting Table via enchantment. Specifically, all you have to do is smash a Bottle o' Enchanting on or directly beside a crafting table to upgrade it to a Spellcrafting Table.
You spellcraft with a Spellcrafting Table in a manner similar to crafting on a Crafting Table - in a 3×3 grid. Placement must be exact, per the recipes below.
Wands, Spells, & Spellcasting
Spells are spellcrafted using various ingredients, and are 'one-use-only' items (the spell item will be consumed in the process of casting it). In order to cast a Spell once it's been spellcrafted, take up the Spell in your off-hand, and Use (right click) your Wand. It will fire the spell as a projectile toward the intended target, and generate the actual spell effects when it collides with a player or solid block (i.e. aim at your feet to target yourself).
Wands are also spellcrafted with ingredients using the Spellcrafting Table; there are three levels of Spells and three levels of Wand. The higher the spell's level, the higher the level of Wand needed to cast it. Every spell also has a 'cooldown time' - this is a number of game ticks that your wand must wait before casting another spell. The more powerful the spell, the greater the cooldown period; the more powerful the wand, the more all cooldowns are reduced.
All of the spellcrafting recipes are listed below for reference.
Spellbooks
You can spellcraft your spells into Spellbooks as well. These function the same way as their spell version, except they don't get used up on casting. This is effectively a method of 'learning' the spell permanently.
The basis of this is upgrading any Enchanted Book on the Spellcrafting table (recipe below) to a Spellbook. This base Spellbook does nothing on its own, but can be spellcrafted with a Spell to make a Book of <Spell Name>. Again, recipes are below.
Spell Reference & Recipe Guide
Inspired by vanilla Witches, many spellcrafting recipes make use of the four 'granulated pile' items in vanilla - Sugar, Glowstone Dust, Redstone Dust, and Gunpowder. Each of these is used in making spells of its matching color, and all four are needed to craft Wands and Books of Spells.

There are three wands, which increase in difficulty with respect to making as their power increases. As spells also come in three levels, one needs to have a wand powerful enough to cast them. The Nether Wand reduces spellcasting cooldown time by 50%, and the Ender Wand reduces it by 75%.
Wand recipes need (at least) each of the four powders, two of a 'stick'-style ingredient, and a 'core' ingredient.

Making Spells
Here are the recipes and functions for the 40 spells included in the pack (there are 10 of each type). Crafting them requires some Paper, some of the appropriate type of Dust, and a different core ingredient for each spell.
Each spell's cooldown time is listed at the lower right corner of its plate. This is given in game ticks - divide by 20 to convert to seconds with a Wand; divide by 40 with a Nether Wand; divide by 80 with an Ender Wand.

Making Spellbooks
Spellcrafting Books of Spells starts with making the basic Spellbook. It can be spellcrafted using an Enchanted Book (any one will do), one of each Dust, and four Ender Pearls. This basic Spellbook does nothing on its own, but can be spellcrafted with spells to make their Books.
In order to spellcraft Spells into their Books, you'll need 1-3 of the Spell itself (depending on its level), a Spellbook, and one of the appropriate Dust. The following examples depict recipes for spellcrafting level I, II, and III White Magic spells into their Books:

Updated download to include separate packs for 1.16 and 1.17 versions
The update has not been tested because my current computer is poo (lost my previous machine a few months back). Based on the changes introduced in 1.17 this pack should function perfectly, however feel free to drop feedback if it doesn't.

My advice is to first ensure you're using the pack this way. If you are, then I'd suggest uninstalling Minecraft and reinstalling it, then trying again.
It's my intention to help you understand how this pack works. Because the information presented in the description is so very clear, and because I'm willing to help you overcome any lack of understanding of the pack, I'll be happy to reply to a DM you send me regarding your lack of understanding of the above description; that being said, I'll just as easily report you for slander if you opt to publicly disparage this project with false statements instead.
my computer is also complete poo and can´t work this without lagging, but it´s a great pack!
