I think it should work in multiplayer. If it doesn't work, tell me and I will look into it.

you can't sleep in the world created to mine and create portals to the other world

It is always the same because you have to set a fixed seed in the datapack. It is also important that it is always the same seed, so the portal platform can be placed correctly.
