Mob Capture
is a Datapack for 1.21.5+ that adds the Pocket Cage item to allow you from pickup all passive mobs and some neutral mobs in that item and drop them back when you want.

Mob Capture Minecraft Data Pack Pocket Cage

You can right click in front of a mob to capture it, then you can right click again to release it in front of you. The Happy Ghast can be captured in a bigger range.
It's unstackable.
It has a 1s cooldown to use to prevent a problem that not summon the mob back.

The mob UUID is stored but if a mob already exists with that UUID, another UUID will be gived.

It take another texture for each captured mob to recognize which mob is captured inside. But the id of the mob and his CustomName is also displayed in the description of the item.

Can be crafted with 8 Iron Chain in the slots arround of the Crafting Table.

      You can download the required Texture Pack to see the texture of the Pocket Cage and with the mob spawn egg texture to recognize which mob is captured.
