    Blocks do damages is a Datapack for the version 1.19.4+ of Minecraft (if you use it below the version 1.19.4, it won't work because the Datapack uses the "damage" command) that allows any mobs or players take damages when walks or enters in this blocks :

    Block
    Stonecutter
    Rose Bush
    Torch/Soul Torch
    Pointed Dripstone
    Any Candle
    Damages number
    6.8
    0.6
    0.8
    1.3
    0.15 (per Candle)

    Iron Golem take about 70% less damage from Stonecutters, Rose Bushes and Pointed Dripstones.

    Only mobs and players (not items, or any other entity) can take damages by this blocks.

    If you want to have the custom death messages, use the Texture Pack.

    You can use the commandfunction blocks_do_damages:configsto config the Datapack (chose what blocks do damages or not) by default all blocks of the grid do damages with the Datapack.

    Hi, all my villagers died because of torches, is it possible to prevent this from happening again? (except removing toches)

    You can use other light blocks, or you can move your torchs, or you can deactivate the damages of torches with the config command : function blocks_do_damages:configs

    Could you possibly change the messages?

    Player got sliced by a Stonecutter

    Player touched too many rose thorns

    Player went up in flames

    Player sunk into a dripstone spike.

    And the description too.

    This datapack makes more blocks harmful, with custom death messages!

    Well torches have really small fires, and their technically sticks with fires on top.

    The others, I thought they were a bit too long, so I decided to shorten them with a little bit of comedy.

    for the torch I used a minecraft damage, the same like the fire and the camfire... And why you want to change others messages of death ?
