Hey you should really check out this datapack
The Nether War Hog is a custom Minecraft boss fight made to fill in the lack of true bosses that some feel.
This is the first datapack I have made, if you have any suggestions feel free to put them in replies
It does not support multiplayer.
The installation process goes like any other datapack, if you want more information check installation.txt found in the files
The datapack includes one new custom boss, a new weapon and two advancements.
To fight the Nether War Hog, attack and kill one Zombie Pigman, this will start a rage meter, kill 9 more Zombie Pigmen to start the fight.
Upon summoning the creature, a large platform of netherrack will appear to fight it on.
The recommended things to bring are as follows: Full set of diamond armor (recommended to be enchanted), a shield, 2 Golden Apples, some healing potions, A diamond sword with sharpness, a bow with power 1 or higher, two stacks of arrows, and some blocks.
It cannot take fire damage
You should have space between it and you, so use your arrows more than your sword.
It has four attacks:
1. It will use it's flair cannon every 7 seconds, this will fire a flame that targets the player.
2. It will summon a flame ring surrounding it every 23 seconds, radius is roughly 7 blocks.
3. It will pause in it's tracks and make a low sound, 5 seconds later it will make a loud screech and charge at the player at high speeds (Use blocks to block it)
4. It will summon four zombie pigmen every 40 seconds.
It will drop a good amount of gold, a good amount of xp and the flare cannon.
The flare cannon is a rapid fire weapon that will shoot out flames, it will light anything on fire that can be lit for 3 seconds, and it will damage fire resistant mobs.
