                    Dive Deeper Than Ever Before!

My newest datapack adds 3 new biomes/dimensions to your world. The deeper you dive, the more alien and darker it gets.

                    Dimensions & Biomes:

Midnight Zone - You reach this by being in water at a y of 30-29 (~ 30 ~). This dimension is a deep blue ocean. The depth is a full 240-250 meters.

Abyssal Zone - You reach this by being in water at a y of 30-29 (~ 30 ~) in the Midnight Zone. It is similar to the Midnight Zone, but a bit darker

Hadal Zone - Deepest and darkest Ocean Zone. You reach this by being in water at a y of 30-29 (~ 30 ~) in the Abyssal Zone.

This datapack is survival-friendly, but waterbreathing effects will be needed to descend as there are no air pockets as you dive. The distance from the bottom of the Hadal Zone back to the surface (overworld) is about 690 blocks/meters.

I plan to add deep sea creatures/monsters and ocean pressure damage.

Deep sea is what i always wanted to see in minecraft. Good luck with your work on the structures and hope to see improvements in the lower zones.

I think one of the most important aspects of a new dimension is a playability, which means what to do in the new dimension besides admiring the view or things that are easy to do in the other dimensions. Then the question is "What to do in the ocean zones besides just diving in and admiring the view?" I really hope someday the zones to have special purpose worth adventuring.

Can you do so when you try to return to the overworld through the 3 dimensions you dont get trapped in sand or any material of the seewed?

You talking the terrain? Or the dimensions as a whole?

I thought that the generation of the biomes weren't dimensions. Sorry, my bad.

Well it’s both. You can edit the overall properties of dimensions but also the properties of individual biomes. I actually could make a single deep sea dimension, and have the different zones as different biomes. The issue is you can’t assign biomes based on vertical height. This means you could have the hadal zone at the surface of the ocean.

Well the two lower zones probably won't have vegetation. Moreover I need to figure out how to use structures in the biomes. Every attempt I've made thus far has made the pack fail.

I was hoping to try making a creative base on the sea floor of the Hadal Zone for the eerie calm of the place, but it's too dark for even night vision or light sources to work. Do you have any idea what's wrong?

The ambient light is at 0. It's the literal heart of darkness. If you make an indoor base and place light sources you should be able to see though.

I think what's confusing me is that your screenshot shows you being able to see the sea floor with nightvision effect on, but I see absolutely nothing with nightvision effect applied.

Also, are you warping there directly with creative mode?

I'm not warping there directly as with a command. I either look for a y level of 30 or less in each layer, or I break blocks directly beneath me in the case of lower layers where I have trouble finding blocks naturally under y level 30. Do you think my breaking blocks might be causing the issue in the Hadal zone? I can see normally with or without nightvision in the Abyssal zone. I tried removing the water effect and my brightness is maxed out, but it's just solid black without even a hint of motion even when I lay sea lanterns down directly under me.

I Asked Because You Can End Up Inside Of The Ground When You Warp Directly. If You're Progressing Naturally Through The Layers I Don't See Why There Would Be An Issue. Perhaps Post A Video Link Showing Your Dive?
