    NOTE: This datapack is no longer receiving updates due to it being vanilla Minecraft as of update 1.17. Thankfully though a good friend of mine has expanded on this datapack in his own creation and added many other updates such as even raw ore blocks. Go check that out instead by clicking here.


    Interestingly I didn't come up with this. Someone who's username is "xavierplayr" direct messaged me and requested I make this. Personally I was surprised but it came at a good time so I tried to make it. This is a very simple datapack but it serves its purpose.


    Notes:
    - The file downloaded CONTAINS the datapack. It is not the datapack itself.
    - This datapack requires you to install the resourcepack provided on this page.
    - You do not need to uninstall this datapack properly before you remove it.
    - Works in 1.15 & 1.16

    Features
    - Adds Chunk of Iron
    - Adds Chunk of Gold

    - Chunks can be smelted into ingots
    - Chunks are affected by Fortune enchantment
    - Regular ores can be picked up using the Silk Touch enchantment

    For some reason it is saying to me that this rescource pack is made to an older version, pls update the resource pack

    my apologies but this was made for 1.16. Seeing as this is now vanilla in 1.17+ I will no longer be updating this datapack

    It doesn't work with Vein Miner data packs or enchants, it just breaks one of them as if there was no vein miner at all. This also goes for auto smelt data packs and enchants as well.

    I don't know if this is fixable due to the mining mechanism varying over data packs but it would be amazing to see it work universally.

    The datapack modifies the base loot drops of iron and gold ore. If it isn't working that is because the Vein Miner datapack either isn't coded in a way that uses those loot drops, or instead it relies on those same loot tables or items from those loot tables to function. The compatability issue rests solely on the vein miner datapack in question.


    Do you know how to edit datapacks? If so I'd be willing to look it over and advise what you could change.

    Bugs:
    If anyone finds any bugs in this datapack I'd greatly appreciate it. It'll allow me to go back and fix the issue myself in a future update and improve everyone's experience when using it
