This datapack allows nature to reclaim abandoned areas. Grass will grow and need to be cut, paths will decay and need upkeep or upgrade to other materials, forests and flowers will spread. Players ignoring old builds may come back to find them overgrown.
You will no longer need to worry about bare grass blocks from creeper explosions, water buckets, and terraforming. Foliage will grow back over time.
Technical Details:
Plants that spread (up to 32 blocks):

A pack that may work well with this pack is Desire Lines. Overgrown affects your surroundings in a way that allows you to notice areas of inactivity, Desire Lines allows you to notice areas of high activity. Overgrown will naturally reclaim paths created by Desire Lines over time.
This pack was actually inspired by Desire Lines as I wanted an opposing force to prevent worlds from being cluttered with paths.

Usually, it's noticed in normal worlds after a few Minecraft days as dirt paths get converted back to dirt or trees that no one planted appearing as forests spread. It really shows itself as more time passes where you can see big patches of double tall grass in loaded areas that aren't visited often.
I feel like the trees, and possibly path decay, might be a bit much on a long term server with only a couple players.
If you do find it to be too much lmk, I'll start working on a config menu and might try to tweak rates.
