You are transported to a mysterious place with nothing- no armor, no food, no tools. It's completely flat- level as can be. Strange creatures inhabit the land. Climbing the nearest tower, you see that a vast medieval cityscape spans past the horizon.

Huge mansions, fortresses, and dungeons dot the landscape.

Can You survive and thrive on the...
PILLAGER PLANET?

How to install/setup
0. go to your options on the main menu and reduce your render distance. Generating new terrain is somewhat intense in this pack.
1. Click create new world.
2. Go to "Data packs" and Include this datapack. Click the bottom left button, put the zip file in the folder that pops up.
3. Move it to the right
4. click "Done"
5. Go to "More World Options" and click on world type, set it to superlflat
6. Click Customize and go to "Presets"
7. Click the last one with the long name, with the dark oak log icon.
8. Click "Use Preset"
9. Click Done
10. Enter a seed if you have one
11. Click Done
12. Go to Game Rules
13. Under World Updates, disable fire, otherwise woodland mansions that you find have a high probability of being burned down when you find them.
14. Click done
15. Set the difficulty to "Normal" or "Hard"
16. Name the world.
17. Create the world. Wait for it to generate...
18. Done!

If you think it's too easy, open your world to lan, set the time to night and disable the daylight cycle.

That's HARD MODE for you!
Recommended settings for aesthetics and performance:

Graphics: Fast
Reason: Reduced visibility through tree leaves increases difficulty and fits the theme better.
Render Distance: Less than 10. (I use 9)

Reason: I believe the game is most balanced when the render distance is low.
Simulation Distance: Less than 8 (I use 5)
Reason: High entity counts from surrounding structures will lead to lag if this is not done.

It is recommended that after you start playing, don't settle down near the spawn chunks. After you've played for a while and geared up, go to the spawn chunks and kill all the mobs and destroy everything, and flood it with water so passive mobs cannot take up the passive mob cap there.
This will allow passive mobs to spawn everywhere in your world at random.

Changelog

Survival Guide
WARNING: Contains Spoilers.

The first thing you should do after you spawn is check your coordinates. Wherever you are right now is pretty close to the worldspawn. Get away from there.
After that, you should grab a bed (to set your spawn) and a couple stacks of hay bales from villages.
Try to break all the bookshelves in the villager houses that you find as well- you'll need them for an enchanting table setup later.

Make sure to raid village chests! If you're lucky you can get iron or diamond tools and armor from the get go.
Get obsidian as well, you need to make an enchanting table, remember?

Try to avoid entering fortresses or mansions.
Don't punch iron golems, they can kill you easily.

After you've gotten some supplies together, pick a spot to settle down (At least a thousand blocks from spawn).

Make sure to get cows, pigs, and sheep in a pen (Chickens too if you care about those) near your place.

To go mining you'll have to dig through the dirt, sand, and clay to get to stone, and then to get deepslate you dig deeper.

There is glowstone next to the bedrock so you can dig down to get that.

after you've done some mining and gotten a small settlement with animals, hay bales for bread, and all the equipment you need, you can start raiding fortresses and mansions.

Mansions are much more difficult than fortresses but I find they are often the most rewarding as killing the vindicators yields numerous emeralds and the magical dudes who wave their arms drop totems of undying.

At some point you will want to go to the end. Stronghold spawning occurs in this world, it should be completely normal.

Going to the nether may or may not be worth it, since the nether structures in the overworld will give you most of the essentials you would probably want from the nether.

Recommended accompanying datapacks:
Treecapitator or Timber, I use this one:
https://www.planetminecraft.com/data-pack/treecapitator-datapack-1-13/
it is especially handy with this pack since there are so many trees, saves you a lot of time clearing out an area.

Take your pick of these, I recommend using Anti-Enderman Grief since endermen can teleport and steal blocks and crafting Coal into Black Dye since you can never get squid in your world. I don't like that.

This is the texture pack I recommend:

Enjoyed the datapack? Tell me what you liked and didn't like. What could make it more challenging? What mods go well with it?

Did you play on permanent night (HARD MODE) or not?
