The Ritualistic Teleporters datapack let's you harness the Warden's dig ability and emerge anywhere your heart desires in a balanced and lore friendly way. Using some Deepslate, Candles, and Echo Shards, you can now create rituals to traverse vast distances in an instant.
Creating the Ritual Teleporter
Creating a ritual is easy! Read the instructions below:
- Start by placing 8 of any Deepslate block on the ground in a 3x3 area leaving the middle empty.
- Place any Deepslate slab in the middle of the 3x3 area so that it sits half a block lower than the surrounding blocks.
- Place Candles of any color on the 4 corners of the 3x3 ritual structure. (You can place multiple Candles in each corner if you want)
- Light all of the candles.
- Throw 1 Charcoal in the middle of the 3x3 ritual structure and boom, just like that you have started the ritual.
- To make a teleporter, throw 1 Echo Shard and 1 Dye of your choice in the middle of the ritual structure. The dye will color the ritual which will link the teleporter to another teleporter of that color. The Echo Shard will be stored in the structure, break the ritual to retrieve it.
Note: If by creating a new teleporter you replace an existing teleporter due to an already active link, an Echo Shard is not needed. This ensures that you NEVER RISK LOSING ECHO SHARDS since they are quite rare. View "Additional Mechanics Details" for more information on this.

Recoloring the Ritual Teleporter
You can recolor a teleporter at any given moment by throwing 1 Dye in the middle of the ritual structure.
Using the Ritual Teleporter
To use the teleporter, stand in the ring marked by white particles and crouch. This will teleport you to the other linked teleporter.
Destroying the Ritual Teleporter
To destroy a ritual, break any of the 3x3 deepslate ritual structure. If it was a teleporter, 1 Echo Shard will drop in the middle of the structure when broken.
Note: Breaking or Extinguishing the Candles in a ritual structure will DEACTIVATE the ritual but NOT break it. This will prevent teleporting until the candles are replaced and lit.

Customizing Your Ritual Teleporter
The 3x3 ritual structure was kept simple so you can expand it and fit it into your builds with as little limitations as possible. Go nuts and make something beautiful! :)
Additional Mechanics Details
You can only have 1 linked pair of teleporters for each dye color - so a max of 16 teleporters.
Teleporters do not cross dimensions, so really you can have 16 teleporter links in each dimension for a total of 48 teleporters across all 3 dimensions.
Placing a new teleporter of a certain color when there is already a linked pair in that color will result in 1 of the following events and will also not require an Echo Shard to create:
1. If the 1st placed teleporter of that color is active or deactivated but NOT DESTROYED, then the new teleporter will replace the 2nd teleporter in that color link. The 1st placed teleporter in that color link takes precedence *EVEN IF IT IS DEACTIVATED*.
2. If the 1st placed teleporter of that color IS DESTROYED, then the new teleporter will replace the 1st teleporter in that color link. There is no 1st teleporter in this situation so it is created.
v1.1: A red particle effect will now show when a player is holding a dye in front of a ritual structure if a teleporter pair is already linked using that color and creating a new teleporter with that color will overwrite one of the existing teleporters. (See below for a video demonstration)

Installation
To install, locate your Minecraft directory by typing pressing the windows button and typing "%appdata%". Locate the ".minecraft" folder. Open the saves folder and find your world folder. Now just throw the data pack into the "datapacks" folder and type the command "/reload" in your world.
It is crucial that you type the command "/reload" after installing any data pack!
If you wish to uninstall this datapack, use this command: /function ra:uninstall
DO NOT run the uninstall function unless you intend to fully remove the pack as any existing teleporters will be removed including the echo shards they hold.
This data pack is 100% multiplayer-friendly!

Update v1.3 : by Lettooce 07/22/2023 9:10:08 pmJul 22nd, 2023
Bug Fixes: (Thanks SilvericAnito!)
- Fixed a major bug after implementing optimizations that caused teleporters to link incorrectly.
- By default, sample rate is set to every 1 tick now instead of 20 ticks for a snappy experience. This can be changed if you need a performance boost on servers by typing the following command:
/scoreboard players set $global ra.sample_rate <Number of Ticks Per Sample>
On servers with limited resources, I recommend setting the sample rate to 10 or 20 ticks so you don't have to worry about TPS drops. If you're playing single player or host a low volume server, 1 tick should be fine.

Not really an issue, but I'd say if possible, some more optimization tweaks that so it can work lighter on a multiplayer server??
I use this on Aternos hosting, and unfortunately, with 16 teleporters activated, it makes the server go down to 2 - 4 tps.
Again, really love this, but maybe even a slight optimization improvement would be really cool!
Update's really a huge help!
I look forward for more of your content!
