Scarecrows (v0.9)
Add scarecrows to your world that enables players at repulsing some monster types.How to useTo summon a scarecrow, place an armorstand and equip it with a costume.
To create one, throw some clay into a water cauldron, wait few seconds and pickup the new item.
Once the "Blank Costume Base" is setup on the armorstand's head, it should start repulsing zombies in an area with a radius of 7 blocks.
However, if you want the scarecrow to scare other mobs than zombies, you should take a look at the graph in the media gallery.
To change the costume type, put the costume head in your offhand while holding an amethyst shard in the mainhand.
Target the wanted mob and sneak while looking at it. You will hear an "enchanting" sound and the head texture will be changed.
To apply the changes on the armorstand, place back the head and voilà.
Please, note that the scared mob has to not be "extremely intelligent" as it cans recognized the subterfuge. This is why illagers wont be repulsed by the scarecrow.

Concretly, even if you get a mob costume, you'll not be able to place it as a block. For this reason, there is no risk in having both vannilatweaks mob head drop datapack and mine into your world/server (plus Scarecrows do not overwrite mobs' loot table).
