    About the Datapack

    Simple Apple Trees is a Minecraft datapack that adds Apple Trees that grow all over the Minecraft globe. Chop one down to get a huge amount of apples, or use shears to collect the Fruiting Apple Tree Leaves for your own use!

    You can find the list of all features this datapack introduces the Modrinth changelog tab.

    FAQ

    Q: Will you backport the datapack to an older version such as 1.XX?
    • A: Sadly, I can not backport the datapack to versions lower than 1.20.2, because it uses the /random command, which was added in 1.20.2. If you're looking for a pack for versions older than 1.20.2, or for one that works without a resourcepack, I recommend Apple Trees by Gamemode 4 and Fruitful by mega7. Both of them are great packs, so check them out!
    Q: The pack doesn't work! / I don't see the "datapack loaded succesfully!" message!
    • A: You have either downloaded the wrong version of the datapack, or you're on a Minecraft version that doesn't support it.
    Q: The Apple Trees are broken and I don't get apples!
    • A: You're using the datapack on an unsupported version of Minecraft. Check the versions tab on Modrinth for supported versions.
    Q: The datapack works, but the Fruiting Apple Leaves look like azalea leaves or have missing textures!
    • A: You forgot to download the resourcepack. Luckily, the resourcepack is the same for all versions of the datapack, so you don't need to worry about downloading the right version.
    Q: I have multiple Fruiting Apple Tree Leaves blocks that won't stack together!
    • A: You have used the pack on an older version of the game, and then changed your Minecraft version. The only fix for this is to place all blocks down and collect them with shears again.

    the resourcepack and datapack links give you the same file. It had me download 2 datapacks. Does that sound correct? It looks like I am missing the resourcepack from your links.

    All of the files are on Modrinth, go into one of the versions in the versions tab and you can find the resourcepack there

    Nope! It uses CustomModelData for the apple texture

    is it possible to simpily use item displays to show apples and not require a resource pack?

    when creating this pack, I wanted it to feel more mod-like than other ones I found online, so that's why it uses a resourcepack. If you're looking for an RP-less alternative, I linked some in the FAQ, so you can check them out if you want!

    (also sorry for the late response I was on vacation and then forgot lol)

    i fixed some bugs with water and pistons by changing the if block ~~~ air -> unless block ~~~ oak_leaves, this is a cool datapack keep going
