This datapack adds a built-in-world machine to the game that extracts minerals from ore placed in it, netting more than a pickaxe or furnace would.
It also works on wood - Extracting a wooden log can double the number of planks you receive.

See the graphics above for more information.

It is recommended that you pair this pack with one that makes every ore drop itself when mined, rather than the mineral it contains.

To install, unzip and put the 'slatesextract' folder in your world's 'datapacks' folder. Remember to use the /reload command once you're in game - If the pack initialized properly, it will tell you so in chat.

Appears to delete items from the 2x2 crafting gui in my inventory and I couldn't make a crafting table. It only stopped after disabling your datapack.

That's odd, there's nothing in the scripting that should affect player inventory or crafting.

Found out that it was actually another datapack I had installed. Whoops.

Can't get the data pack to work, am not sure if I'm just not building the excavator correctly. . . Has it worked for anybody?
Nvm got I got it to work. I am really liking the pack so far!

This is the coolest datapack I have seen in a long time! I can't wait to try it out!

Edit: Not working for me. I did everything as shown in your images, and even triple checked it to make sure everything was right, it is and it doesn't work for me. I'm running it on 1.14.4 (is this the problem?).

Edit: Nevermind, I've extracted the right file to the datapack folder--worked instantly.

Really cool idea, love the way you executed it! I'll be sure to try to try this out extensively when I hop on a world.
