SLT's Redstone Golem Datapack
I made this simple datapack for redstone golems a few months ago, forgot to publish it.
Optifine is required for the resource pack
There are no special animations. This datapack uses normal iron golem animations and normal iron golem behaviour wouldn't be affected.
There are two versions of this redstone golem. A player-made one, and a raider one (illager version).
Now the cracking texture wouldn't be shown as it causes some weird effects for normal iron golems, but you can have the cracking texture back by deleting the three "iron_golem_crackiness_" png files in
"SLT Redstone Golems Resource Pack\assets\minecraft\textures\entity\iron_golem", thanks to Mugiware_no_Sonix for suggesting the solution.

Redstone Golem Basics
- If it is hit for more than two times, it will run after its targets faster
- It sometimes smashes entities with a lot of health away, like for example, the warden
- Slowness potions do nothing to redstone golems
- Deals a lot of knockback
- Drops a netherite ingot, some cobblestone and some redstone (I tried to make it drop a custom player head of the redstone golem head but it wouldn't work)

Player-made Redstone Golem
- 480 HP, 30 Attack Damage, 5 Attack Knockback
- Can be made by building a redstone golem structure, tutorial: https://youtu.be/nwjprJvXGW0
- After 45 hits, it will create a shockwave that pushes back entities and create 14 scatter mines
- After 75 hits, it will set fire and gives slowness effect to every entity in a 7 radius and launch them up into the sky, except for Iron Golems.
- Repeats the process after reaching 100 hits
- Attacks raider redstone golems, raiders and hostile mobs

- Spawns when ravagers are present
- Has a illager banner on top
- After 15 hits, it will create a shockwave that pushes back entities and create 14 scatter mines
- After 30 hits, it will set fire and gives slowness effect to every entity in a 7 radius and launch them up into the sky, except for Iron Golems.
- Repeats the process after reaching 50 hits
- Attacks normal & player-made golems, hostile mobs, including player-made redstone golems
- It does not attack illagers

- Explode when approached by either a player or an entity

Also any update on the redstone monstrosity.
Love the datapack!
Anyways a little news on the redstone monstrosity & obsidian monstrosity, still couldn't quite figure out the mouth projectiles and the rolling redstone cubes. I'm also developing it along side multiple other datapacks for 1.20.5+. It splits up the time I can focus on each pack, so the monstrosities will arrive late.
Also as a note, there is currently no Optifine for 1.20.2, that maybe why you are only seeing a iron golem texture/model
