What is this datapack and what does it do?
- The Distorted Caves Expansion Datapack is a worldgen datapack created by saladbowls based on the Distorted Caves from Cavinator1's adventure map: Assassin of Steve 3 - Endergeddon.
- This datapack’s main features are changing multiple biomes to a ‘distorted’ version, converting mobs that are in distorted biomes into a new ‘distorted’ state, a brand new dimension, and giving bosses in a ‘distorted’ state new and unique abilities and powers!
What features does this datapack offer?
- This expansion datapack provides many changes to existing biomes such as Plains, Forests, Jungles, Deserts, and more!
- Biomes that get infected with the Distortion now have icky purple water and grass, and the sky color has changed to the color of artificial grape.
- A new dimension has also arrived: The Distorted Dimension! Featuring a hell-ish landscape, this new crazy dimension is brutal to survive, and death will be knocking at your door at every turn...
- Obtain the new item: The Distorted Star, which can be used to travel to the new dimension. Rumors have it that obtaining the star requires you to kill a distorted variant of the Warden...
- Most hostile mobs have been infected with the Distortion, making them much more powerful and deadly... Even some bosses have managed to take advantage of the Distortion and gain new abilities...
NOTE: This datapack has not been tested with installation on existing worlds and it is best to install this datapack on a fresh world.
If you are planning to install this on an already existing world, please make a backup beforehand in case anything goes wrong!
